With vandal resistant and IP66-rated housing, the Arecont Vision AV2825 megapixel camera is built to withstand outdoor applications. The camera sports IR LED configurations that exceed the market standards for day and night surveillance and six times the resolution of IP VGA or analog cameras.

The AV2825 streams high-definition (1920 x 1080) video at 24 frames per second, allowing for multi-streaming of up to 8 simultaneous non-identical streams with different frame rates, bit rates, resolutions and picture quality. The IP camera supports H.264 and MJPEG compression technologies with bandwidth and storage efficiency of 10 times greater on average over traditional megapixel cameras.

System costs are reduced with the AV2825 as less cameras and wiring are needed. The camera is supported by Power over Ethernet for easy and versatile installation. The camera can be placed anywhere along the network during installation, receiving power and transmitting data through a standard Ethernet cable.

Other advanced features include simultaneous full field of view and region-of-interest, on camera motion detection, electronic pan/tilt/zoom, forensic zooming, and no restrictions on image size cropping.
