Vandal proof dome security cameras are very similar to dome security cameras only with a few more attributes. They are constructed in weather proof die-cast metal casings and typically have a polycarbonate dome. These security cameras are made especially to withstand high impact blows, as well as resist weather and tampering. They range from small to large and typically contain a board or mini security camera, are available in color, B & W and day/night versions. These security cameras also have the attribute of being fitted with a fixed or vari-focal lens and also can incorporate IR LEDS in Day/Night types. Vandal proof Dome security cameras can be mounted on walls and ceilings and have the ability to conceal camera direction.

Selecting a vandal proof dome security camera is not hard. First determine if the security camera will need to see in changing light conditions or low light situations. For changing light conditions a security camera with an Auto-Iris lens is always better and for low light situations a B & W or Day/Night security camera is best.
