How to Enable Remote Access to a Security Camera or Recorder from Netgear Router?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

  • Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Login to the\u00a0Netgear router<\/strong>\u00a0via the default gateway address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    To port forward a Netgear router, open your browser and type your\u00a0IP Address<\/strong>\u00a0into the bar and hit enter. If you do not know your IP address, type CMD into the Run tool and then type IPCONFIG. Write down the IP address to the right of IPv4 Address.<\/p>\n\n

    • Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Once at the Netgear page, hit\u00a0Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0and go to\u00a0Port Forwarding<\/strong>\u00a0(located on the left).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      • Step 3:\u00a0<\/strong>Hit \u201cAdd Service<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        This will take you to the\u00a0Port Forwarding<\/strong>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n\n

        • Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0From here, type in IP Address and the ports you wish to open to it. Also, for organizational purposes, we suggest putting in the exact name of the hardware being opened in the name bar, such as \u201cIP Camera 1<\/strong>\u201d. Keep both TCP and UDP open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
