Vivotek security cameras<\/a>\u00a0come with hardware reset button similar to routers and network equipment. The reset button can be used to reboot the camera or restore the factory default settings. If you forget the root (administrator) password for the camera, you can restore the camera defaults by pressing the reset button for longer than 5 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Unscrew the camera<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Find the reset button<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Press and hold recessed reset button for at least 5 seconds to restore to factory defaults
    <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Default username and password for Vivotek cameras<\/a>\u00a0is root \/ with no password or\u00a0admin \/ 123456<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0admin<\/strong>\u00a0\/\u00a0admin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The camera does not have default IP address so you need to give it an IP address via DHCP server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
