More than 15 years, Genetec is providing security and public safety solutions with IP video surveillance, access control, and license plate recognition and unifies them in a single platform called \u201cSecurity Center\u201d.<\/p>\n

Today (24th of May), Genetec will be presenting a new software called AutoVu Free-Flow, at IPI Conference and Expo in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Genetec states that \u201cAutoVu Free-Flow, a module of the Genetec AutoVu automatic\u00a0license plate recognition cameras<\/a>\u00a0(ALPR) solution, increases parking enforcement efficiency by providing a real-time inventory of vehicles parked illegally in monitored parking lots. Officers can easily identify lots with unenforced violations and optimize their patrol route based on real-time information.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

AutoVu Free-Flow records the license plate of vehicles entering and leaving a monitored parking lot and compares them to the list of permit holders and payments received through pay-by-plate-enabled pay stations and mobile parking apps. Vehicles parked beyond their purchased time are automatically marked as a violation awaiting enforcement in the AutoVu live violation report.\u201d<\/p>\n

Genetics product marketing manager Charles Pitman says “Free-Flow provides parking officers a real-time view of how many vehicles are in parking lots across all their facilities, and how many are parked illegally. With these precise details of where and when violations are taking place, parking managers know where to dispatch officers to ensure higher compliance”<\/p>\n

AutoVu\u2019s live violation report displays the list of vehicles parked illegally in the selected parking lot, alongside the context image captured at the vehicle\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n

Genetec is planning to track down the number of the illegal parking cars to analyze the evolution of the parking behaviors by time and increase the efficiency and productivity of the enforcement officers with AutoVu Free-Flow software.<\/p>\n
