Oculur X4DF4 4MP IR Outdoor Mini Dome IP Security Camera - 4mm Fixed Lens

Oculur X4DF4 is a sensation upgrade from X2DF as the company has provided their customers with an exceptional product. It has 4mm aperture size and 4 megapixel lens. The mini dome really turns up the heat with its 1080p resolutions videos at 25 fps.

I used X2DF and I was happy with the camera. However, as per the requirement I needed to upgrade and I went straight to X4DF4 without any hesitation because it had what I thought was lacking in X2DF. The only thing still missing is the motorized camera. Nevertheless, it’s a great upgrade.

I thought that this upgrade would offer more distant range better than the previous version had in the night mode. Despite better camera and other upgrades the range stay at 100 feet. But this time around the range is actually 100 feet not a figure claimed by the company.

The 4MP sensor is outrageous as it works with 4mm lens size. The picture clarity is evident along with the video output speed of 1080p HD at 25 fps. Still no motion detection though which is slightly disappointing. The onboard storage also remains 128GB which is good enough along with other good features.

I am upgrading from Oculur X2DF which I thought was overpriced. The X4DF4 is priced competitively because it comes with a 4mm 4MP camera that produced 1080p visuals at 25 fps. Price is very economical particularly if you compare the previous version. A motorized camera would have been much better. I purchased this gizmo about a couple of weeks ago and it has been working fine. The 2MP Full HD resolution is neat. In X2DF, Oculur claimed that the night vision works at 100 feet but I found that it was no good after 50 feet. This time around they are right as the range of night vision has gone up a notch.

The camera has got a serious upgrade from Oculur if you compare X4DF4 with X2DF. It is a decent looking device just like its predecessor. The 4 megapixel camera with 4mm sensor can generate the same resolutions as the previous one but at better speeds of 25 fps now The IR LED does well to produce clear images of objects up to 100 feet away at night. The 3-axis rotation also doesn’t get any upgrade from the previous model. There is no noise in the visuals in the night mode even in the darker environments. Any X2DF use looking for better camera should give a try to X4DF4
