Vivotek discontinued their Vivotek VAST software (not releasing updates after version 1.13.1.402) and announced newer version of their video management system (VMS) an easy to use software for IP Video Management called VAST2. It is specially designed for small to medium-scale deployments. Vivotek states that “With VAST2’s exciting advancements and wide array of features, users will enjoy a breathtaking-new experience and manage their security system easier than ever before”
Which Operating System Vivotek VAST2 support?
Vivotek VAST2 server software only operates on Windows platform. It supports Windows 10, 7, Windows Server 2012, 2016 (Server core installation type is not supported.)
Vivotek VAST2 client software (video viewer) works both on Windows and Mac platforms.
How Vivotek licenses VAST2 VMS software?
- Vivotek VAST2 is free up to 32 Vivotek cameras.
- If you need to install more than 32 Vivotek cameras, you would need to purchase extra license.
- If you need to install non-Vivotek cameras, Vivotek VAST2 support ONVIF compatible cameras. You would need to buy license per ONVIF compatible camera.
