The 2GIG FF100-345 is a wireless FireFighter Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Listener engineered to add wireless fire and CO notification to any 2GIG-compatible alarm system without replacing existing UL-listed smoke and CO detectors. Rather than functioning as a detector itself, the FF100-345 uses a built-in microphone to acoustically listen for the Temporal 3 sound pattern (used by UL-listed smoke detectors) and the Temporal 4 sound pattern (used by UL-listed CO detectors) — and instantly transmits a wireless alert to the alarm panel when either signal is detected.

This acoustic listening approach preserves existing hardwired detector investments while adding modern connected-home alarm notification, remote monitoring, and central-station reporting to the same protected spaces. Installers mount the FF100-345 within 6 inches (15 cm) of the existing detector; when the detector activates, its alarm tone triggers a wireless transmission to the 2GIG panel over the 345 MHz control channel, enabling the panel to raise an alarm, notify the monitoring center, and send push notifications to the homeowner's phone.

The FF100-345 is compatible with the 2GIG GC Touch, 2GIG Edge, GC2e, and GC3e wireless alarm panels. A CR123A lithium battery powers the sensor for up to 5 years of typical operation, and a 64-minute supervisory interval confirms the sensor is online and functional. A tamper switch detects removal or cover opening, and a configurable encryption switch enables encrypted transmission for security-conscious installations.
