Housed in an IP66 NEMA 4/4X rated outdoor enclosure, the switch pairs four 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports (each 802.3bt PoE++ capable up to 90 W per port with a 240 W total system budget) with two 1 Gb SFP fiber uplinks — supporting single-mode, multi-mode, or Hybrid Cable (fiber + copper) connections from NetWay Spectrum head-end media converters and injectors.

Powered from the NetWay Spectrum topology via head-end injectors over hybrid fiber-copper cable (or from an external Altronix 24-30 VDC regulated supply), the NETWAYSP4BTWPX eliminates the need for local AC power at the outdoor node — dramatically simplifying installation on light poles, building corners, and tower sites where AC is unavailable or costly to run. An integrated battery charger circuit supports optional SLA or LiFePO4 batteries for local backup, and the unit is optimized to keep IP devices online through short AC losses at the head-end.
