The Altronix PACE1KRT is a long-range Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) adapter kit that transmits data and PoE power over twisted pair (2-wire, UTP or shielded) wire up to 1 km (3,280 ft.) — far exceeding the 100m limitation of standard Ethernet. The kit includes both the Pace1KR Receiver (headend) and the Pace1KT Transceiver (remote end), providing a complete plug-and-play solution for extending IP network connectivity in elevator shafts, tunnels, bridges, HVAC systems, intercoms, and industrial environments.

The Pace1KR connects to a PoE midspan or endspan switch at the headend and passes network data and PoE/PoE+ power to the Pace1KT over UTP wire using 16/2 AWG or higher conductors. For non-PoE remote devices, data-only transmission is supported. Auto-detection ensures safe operation with both PoE and non-PoE cameras and devices. The kit also supports retrofitting of legacy 2-wire networks (LONworks, RS485, 4-20mA control loops) using existing wiring.
