Altronix WP5 Outdoor Weatherproof Battery Enclosure
The Altronix WP5 is a hot-compression-molded fiberglass-reinforced polyester enclosure rated NEMA 4 / 4X and IP66 for direct outdoor mounting of access control, fire alarm, and security power supplies along with their backup batteries. The halogen-free, self-extinguishing composite housing combines weather and corrosion resistance with the fire-safety characteristics required for compliant exterior installations on building walls, perimeter posts, and standoff poles.
Internally, the WP5 includes a metal backplane that simplifies mounting of Altronix power supplies, transformers, fuses, surge protection devices, and other accessories. The enclosure accommodates up to four 12VDC / 12AH backup batteries, providing extended runtime for access control doors, IP cameras, gate operators, and other low-voltage outdoor installations during power outages.
Stainless steel continuous hinges and stainless steel padlock-able latches keep the door securely fastened against tampering and corrosion, while integral mounting flanges allow installers to wall-mount or pole-mount the enclosure without separate brackets. The 17.32\" x 19.49\" x 9.58\" (W x H x D) footprint provides ample interior volume for typical Altronix battery-backed power systems, while the 18 lb assembly weight remains manageable for two-person field installation.
