Connectors are considered the wire and attaching devices used to connect security cameras, recorders, and correlating systems. Such wires include ethernet, coaxial, pigtail, and other cables used in modern security systems. Specific to the attaching devices, connectors have male and female connectors typical for ethernet and coaxial. Extenders are also included due to them being complimentary with such devices. While each of these devices is typically available with each larger product, these devices are usually developed as a replacement.

There are several types of BNC connectors but the most common are twist on, crimp on, and compression. The twist style are the easiest to use since they do not require any tools to install. RJ45 connectors come in several styles like the BNC connectors. The most common is the crimp on RJ45 module.
