The ETS ML1-TD is a high-performance, low-cost omni-directional electret microphone from the ETS ML1 Series, designed for panel mounting and built for IP cameras that accept microphone-level input signals. It is also compatible with standard PC microphone inputs. The IP54-rated anodized aluminum housing is both weather resistant and tamper resistant, allowing the microphone to be installed in exposed or public-facing locations.

Its omni-directional pattern picks up sound from every direction, with a 40 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response, -44 dB sensitivity, a 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and a maximum SPL of 120 dB. The ML1-TD delivers a -40 dB mic-level output into a 2-5k ohm load and runs on 2-10 VDC supplied directly by the connected camera, so no separate power supply is needed. It is rated to operate from -40°F to 185°F.

The microphone ships with a 6 ft attached cord terminated in a stereo 3.5mm connector, along with a mounting locknut, two washers, and an audio surveillance warning label. Longer cables up to 25 ft, a flying lead output for cameras with terminal blocks (-FL), and a higher performance capsule (-LN) are available under separate part numbers. Installers and end users are responsible for deploying audio surveillance in compliance with state and federal privacy laws.
