Designed and manufactured by ETS the ETS SM1-WP Weather Proof Omni Directional Microphone & is a weather proof microphone which can be used in more hostile environments which may include rooms which are washed daily and on board ships or boats. It features a MOSFET low noise pre-amplifier, a fixed gain, an unbalanced line level output, a selectable on/off limiter circuit, plus comes equipped with a 12VDC at10mA voltage on board regulator. The SM1-WP is still useable in the range of 15-25 feet but is dependent on the level of background noise in the area. Experimentation in the environment will determine what distances work best.

The ETS SM1-WP Weather Proof Omni Directional Microphone is designed to be surface mounted on any flat surface or on an exterior single gang “bell” electrical box. Be sure to use the supplied gasket to prevent water from entering the electronics. The SM1-WP is shipped with the gain set at midrange. If the sound at the “head end” is distorted, rotate the control towards the - mark (counter-clockwise). If the volume at the “head end” is too low, rotate the control towards the + mark (clockwise).
