Description

Geovision GV-APOE1612 16 Port PoE+ Gigabit Managed Switch with 250W Power Budget - 84-APOE162-001U

The Geovision GV-APOE1612 is a Layer 2 web-managed gigabit switch designed to expand medium- to large-sized security and network installations. It features sixteen 802.3at PoE+ ports each delivering up to 30W, with a total power budget of 250W — ideal for powering IP cameras, access points, and other PoE-compatible devices. Four dedicated SFP fiber ports and two combo RJ45/SFP uplink ports provide flexible 1 Gb/s connectivity options.

With a 40 Gb/s switching capacity and 29.76 Mpps forwarding rate, the GV-APOE1612 handles high-throughput environments efficiently. Link aggregation support allows combining multiple ports for increased bandwidth to compatible devices. The built-in PoE Alive Monitor automatically checks connectivity to powered devices, reducing downtime. Extend Mode enables 10 Mb/s operation for long-distance runs up to 820 feet, making this switch well-suited for large campus and perimeter deployments.

Key Features:

  • 16 x Gigabit PoE+ ports (802.3at, up to 30W each); powers IP cameras and access points directly over Ethernet.
  • 250W total PoE power budget; supports a full deployment of PoE devices without a separate power injector.
  • 4 x SFP + 2 x RJ45/SFP combo uplink ports; provides flexible fiber and copper uplink options for network integration.
  • 40 Gb/s switching capacity with 29.76 Mpps forwarding rate; delivers smooth, low-latency data transfers across all ports.
  • PoE Alive Monitor and Extend Mode (820 ft at 10 Mb/s); simplifies device monitoring and supports long-distance installations.
