The Geovision 82-V2S0012-0000 (model GV-VMS012) is a twelve-port third-party camera license for the GV-VMS v20 video management platform. GV-VMS v20 provides up to 64 free channels for Geovision-branded IP cameras; this license authorizes the live viewing, management, and recording of twelve non-Geovision cameras from brands such as Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, or Hanwha. As a bundled twelve-channel pack, it delivers a lower per-port cost than buying several smaller packs and consolidates activation under a single license key.
The platform supports H.264, H.265, and MJPEG compression across resolutions from CIF through 4K and above, with GPU-based hardware decoding that minimizes server CPU load. GPU fisheye dewarping flattens 360-degree pan-tilt-zoom camera views in real time. Universal protocol support for ONVIF (Profile S/G/T), RTSP, and PSIA provides compatibility with more than 500 camera models.
Advanced AI functions such as face recognition, person and vehicle detection, area intrusion detection, heat mapping, people counting, and smart motion search are available with the separate AI License; AI camera events from AI-capable GV-IP cameras do not require it. GV-VMS v20 supports Microsoft SQL and Access databases with remote access through a web browser, the GV-Eye mobile apps, and Remote ViewLog. Delivered as a digital software license, this SKU adds twelve third-party camera connections to an existing GV-VMS v20 installation.
