Panasonic POD8CF Outdoor Dome Housing for Fixed Cameras

The outdoor dome camera housing is the Panasonic models POD8CF, POW8CWF or equivalent. The POD8CF and POD8CWF have been designed for fixed cameras: Models, WV-SPN631/611/531/311/310, WP-SP105/102 and WV-CP300/500/600 series. The POD8CF housing is pendant mounted, while the POD8CWF is a wall mount housing. The enclosure comes equipped with 24VAC input blowers and thermostatically controlled heaters. The POD8CF housing is manufactured from a high-impact engineered plastic, UV protected, with a UL flame rating of 94V0. The dome is made of a thermoformed, optically clear, cell cast acrylic material.

The dome is held in place with a minimum of (3) fasteners, and a safety cable provided to hold the dome while servicing. Access the enclosure from below with (3) captive fasteners used to press the dome against a sealing O-ring. A twist-off feature allows for the final removal of the dome. All incoming wires for the pendant models will enter the unit through the top of the housing. A 1 ½″ NPT quick-release coupling is provided at the top of the unit for ease of installation and quick removal of the unit. On wall mount models all incoming wires will enter through the back of the gooseneck bracket. (Use adapter bracket PAPM6 for conduit entry.)

The engineered plastic top, with its reflective white paint, insulates internal equipment. The housing includes a camera mounting bracket that integrates a heater, blower, and video surge protector capable of clamping differential node voltage between 240-300V and common mode voltage from 27-36V. The housing is powered with 24VAC (60Hz) and has a power consumption not to exceed 52W excluding camera. The blower draws 1.4W continuous power. The 50W heater turns on at 60°F and turns off at 80°F. A ground isolation transformer, Panasonic model PWBT1621, is available as an option. The housing supports a temperature range of -40°F to 120°F.
