The Bosch FCA-350-B4 is a 4-inch detector base engineered for two-wire fire alarm installations supporting both 12V DC and 24V DC systems. Designed specifically for compatibility with Bosch's FCP-350 photoelectric smoke detectors and FCH-350 heat detectors, this electronics-free base features a plastic tamper-lock lug preventing unauthorized detector removal in commercial and institutional environments. The compact design accommodates surface mounting using anchors or direct installation on three-inch octagonal, four-inch square/octagonal, or single-gang electrical boxes.
Constructed from ivory-colored ABS plastic, the base provides reliable operation across 0°C to 49°C (32°F to 120°F) temperature range with humidity tolerance up to 95% RH at 40°C. The two-wire configuration simplifies installation by combining power and signal on single cable pair, reducing wire count and installation labor compared to four-wire systems. Current-limited to 150mA at voltages between 15.0V and 33.0V, the base supports extended loop lengths in addressable fire alarm systems while maintaining UL 521 and UL 268 compliance for heat and smoke detector applications.
