The Raytec VARIO2 VAR2-HY8-1 is a long-range hybrid illuminator combining 850nm semi-covert infrared and visible white light illumination in a single unit. With 12 semi-covert IR LEDs and 12 white LEDs, it delivers up to 951 feet of IR coverage and 472 feet of visible light range, providing flexible illumination for a wide range of surveillance scenarios. The interchangeable lens system with Hot-Spot Reduction Technology (HRT) ensures even, artifact-free illumination without overexposed white spots, even at long distances. Three lenses are included — 10x10°, 35x10°, and 60x25° — enabling precise beam shaping to match the field of view of paired cameras. Housed in an IP66-rated enclosure with a U-bracket included, the VAR2-HY8-1 is designed for demanding outdoor deployments and runs on 24VDC for easy integration with standard power infrastructure.
