The Raytec VAR2-i4-3 Infrared Illuminator is an IR illumination solution that allows your CCTV and traffic surveillance cameras to operate optimally in the dark. It enables this by casting well-diffused IR light in the perimeter that it's placed in. Thanks to the Hotspot Reduction Technology from Raytec that this illuminator incorporates, it is capable of casting the same intensity of diffused IR light straight ahead of the beam's line of sight as it does at the outer limits of its field of view. The accompanying, interchangeable lenses that accompany this illuminator allow you to cast the IR light in either a 10°, 35°, or 60° angle, making it perfect whether you want to shed a narrow IR beam, or use the illuminator as an invisible floodlight.

This illuminator is also capable of receiving inputs from the optional Raytec handheld remote control, meaning that you can adjust it from ground level. It incorporates Raytec Green Technology, which aims to maximize its performance while simultaneously limiting the impact that it has on the environment. The Raytec VAR2-i4-3 Infrared Illuminator's unique beam pattern enables its usage with both the latest holographic optics and more dated surveillance solutions.
