Utilizing HRT technology, it illuminates the surveillance area for sharp and clear images, while boosting the performance of the surveillance camera. In addition, this technology helps in the reduction of hot-spots. This IR illuminator has an adjustable photocell that allows for automatic on/off operation and a telemetry control input for remote operation. Its Surface Mount Technology and light intensification miniature optics with current controlled LED ensure at least 10 years of illumination life.
Featuring elliptical beam angles, the illuminator allows for optimal distribution of light. With several advanced functions integrated to it, the device allows flexibility operation via remote control. This Raytec VAR2-i8-1 Vario i8 850nm IR illuminator is also capable of indicating the correct voltage and operation, receipt of valid commands and incorrect commands and input voltage. Interchangeable diffuser lenses provide illumination angles of 10°, 35° and 60° with the other angles being optional and available upon request.

Good stuff. I had to call in someone to install the illuminator for me. For some reason I couldn’t get it to work with the motion sensor and camera. The problem seemed to be calibration. Once sorted I had no complaints though. The illuminator works right on queue and the light control is neat. When I first got it the video would come out so bright. Instead of changing the angle or the distance from the camera I simply changed the setting. Two thumbs up.
