Raytec VAR2-w4-3 White Light Illuminator

The Raytec VAR2-w4-3 White Light Illuminator is designed to cast a soft, well-diffused, and well-balanced white light in a controlled viewing range of between 10° and 120° to assist surveillance equipment such as CCTV and traffic cameras in the resolution of finer details. This white light illuminator combines Raytec's proprietary beam pattern system with their Hotspot Reduction Technology to maximize its illumination capabilities. The former allows this illuminator to work with both holographic optics and conventional optics. The latter allows it to maximize the efficiency with which it illuminates a given viewing range, while simultaneously mitigating the formation of unwanted hotspots on foreground objects in the field of view of the surveillance cameras.

This illuminator also uses a unique, elliptical beam shape that allows it to cast light at a greater distance while simultaneously reducing the intensity of the light, and consequently, the energy consumption of the illuminator.
