I have 5 Samsung TVs and never had a problem so I thought this would be quality product but not the case. I have probably spent close to 80 hours since purchase but I haven't been able to make it work. FYI... I tried to use this with 2 Sony SNC-VM772R Cameras. A1 says this is probably the root of the problem. Apparently, Samsung doesn't design their products to play well with others. Here are A FEW of the issues I had: (1) Generally, the user interface is poor and unfriendly when logged in to the NVR directly. I could not get the replay feature to work. (2) No way to view files on the NVR only the hard drive space, temp, etc. (3) Since the NVR interface was so poor, I attempted to use SmartViewer software. I have a 10 year old laptop and it would not run saying the graphics card was invalid. So I tried a Windows 2012 Server. Same thing. So I tried a Windows 8.1 machine. It worked better but (4) it crashed (5) it hung (6) when I attempted to playback a recording, several frames of varying sizes flashed on the screen then went black and would not play anything more. (7) SmartViewer has a feature that allows you to backup video to a local machine. It creates a local viewer EXE file with a .SEC video file extension. When you play the video, the view screen is black, progress bar and time displays don't change. (8) When backing up, if the folder it creates is already there, it does not write over it even though it gives you progress percentages as though it is writing. (9) If you choose the AVI file extension, again you get progress percentages but the folder is not created and nothing is written. (10) I also tried to access the NVR using the browser interface. When you do this you get a "Failed to decode the profile" error message. If you continue, live view and the admin functions are inoperative. I tried this from 3 different machines using Explorer and Chrome. There's more but I'm tired of typing... ken
