The Speco SX800 is an 800W solar power system designed for off-grid security and camera installations at remote sites. It combines a solar panel array with a weatherproof aluminum enclosure and an advanced MPPT charge controller, representing the highest-capacity array in Speco's SX product family. The system supplies continuous power for multi-camera sites, high-draw PTZ cameras, cellular routers, and PoE switches, including in regions with lower average solar radiation.

Power management uses an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller to maximize solar-to-battery energy conversion, with charging profiles optimized for both LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate and standard sealed lead-acid batteries. The internal battery bay accommodates up to two 100Ah batteries, which are sold separately; battery chemistry significantly affects total installed weight, with SLA units adding roughly 66 lbs each against approximately 24 lbs for LiFePO4.

The aluminum enclosure measures 21.5" H x 16" W x 14.5" D and weighs approximately 28 lbs empty. The array consists of four 200W high-efficiency monocrystalline panels measuring 59" x 27" each, rated to withstand 100 MPH wind loads and mounted on 3" to 6" Schedule 40 poles. Operating range spans -40°F to 140°F. Cameras and batteries are not included; the factory-integrated PoE switch and 4G LTE cellular router are available on the SXC and SXP series rather than this model.
