The Speco SXA800 is an 800W solar power system for surveillance deployments at sites without access to utility power. It pairs an 800W solar array with a weatherproof, lockable enclosure that protects the charge controller, wiring, and network equipment from harsh outdoor conditions and unauthorized access. As the highest-capacity kit in Speco's lithium-compatible SXA line, it is sized for installations with substantial and continuous power demand.
The 800W array suits high-energy sites running multiple IP cameras, PoE switches, continuous recording, and cellular routers. That generation capacity also compensates for overcast weather and the reduced daily sunlight hours found at northern latitudes, where a smaller array would struggle to maintain uptime through winter months.
Power management uses an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller for maximum conversion efficiency, with charge profiles optimized for high-capacity LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate batteries. Correct lithium charging extends battery lifespan and helps prevent premature degradation. The aluminum enclosure measures 21.5" H x 16" W x 14.5" D and weighs approximately 28 lbs empty. The array consists of four 200W panels measuring 59" x 27" each, and universal mounting hardware is included for pole, structural frame, or ground installation on poles from 3" to 6" in diameter. Cameras, batteries, PoE switches, and cellular routers are not included and are integrated as required.
