The Vivotek CU9183-H is an indoor fisheye camera unit from the Vivotek V (Versatile) Series, built for installations where the camera itself needs to disappear. The cylinder-shaped housing measures 0.94 x 1.46 in (24 x 37 mm) and weighs 28 g, allowing it to be recessed into ceilings, walls, cabinetry or fixtures at ATMs, bank branches, retail counters and offices. The unit connects to a VC9101 video core over a 5-meter USB Micro-B to RJ11 cable and draws less than 1.25 W, so no separate power supply is required at the sensor location.

A 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor captures a square 1920x1920 image through a fixed 1.22 mm fisheye lens with an F2.0 fixed iris, giving a full 180.0° horizontal, vertical and diagonal field of view. A single ceiling-mounted unit therefore covers an entire room with no blind corners. WDR Pro delivers 120 dB of dynamic range for scenes that mix shaded interiors with bright doorways and windows, and a minimum color illumination of 0.035 lux keeps images usable in dim lobbies and after-hours lighting. Shutter speeds range from 1/5 to 1/32,000 sec., and 3DNR noise reduction maintains a 56.3 dB signal-to-noise ratio.

The unit streams 30 fps at 1920x1920 using H.265, H.264 or MJPEG compression to balance image quality against bandwidth and storage. Both client-side and local dewarping are supported, including single fisheye, panoramic, dual panoramic and multi-region views for ceiling or wall installations. Measured to the EN 62676-4 DORI standard, the CU9183-H detects at 79.7 ft, observes at 31.5 ft, recognizes at 15.7 ft and identifies at 7.9 ft. It operates from -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F) at up to 90% relative humidity, carries CE, FCC, RCM, VCCI, UL, CB and BSMI approvals, and is backed by a 60-month manufacturer warranty.
