Arecont Vision AV2015DN 2 MP IP Camera (Day/Night) efficiently delivers excellent quality images in MJPEG part 10 and H.264 formats, while keeping file sizes to a minimum. This means a high level of performance is delivered, without overloading your network and storage resources. A Day/Night system, which operates in conjunction with an IR cut filter mechanism, automatically switches the camera from color to B/W mode at night, thus allowing 24-hour surveillance.

On account of its superior resolution, a megapixel camera such as this one can provide you with the level of detail not available with a conventional camera. Not only does this mean you'll get a higher degree of security, but it also potentially cuts down on the total number of cameras needed to monitor a given area.

A key advantage of a megapixel camera like this one is the ability to digitally magnify the image many times over and still be able to make out identifying characteristics. You can apply a virtual PTZ function to this camera by moving this enlarged image up and down, and from side to side. It is a significant time and cost saver because of its ability to capture a greater view of an area, and a single camera can therefore be used in place of two or more analog cameras.

You can send up to 8 to 8 concurrent, non-identical streams while applying different frame rates, bit rates, resolutions and picture to each video stream, which makes for efficient data management.
