The AXIS A4030-E is a secure 13.56 MHz RFID reader housed in a compact mullion-mount design that fits neatly into narrow door frames and tight installation spaces. It supports most MIFARE smart card standards — including MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, and MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3 — delivering touch-free credential reading that works seamlessly with Axis door controllers and third-party access control systems.

Cybersecurity is built into the hardware with an EAL6+ certified secure element and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 secure keystore, plus signed device software and secure boot. The reader is OSDP Secure Profile verified for strong interoperability, and transparent mode delivers end-to-end encryption by keeping the encryption key stored on the door controller rather than on the reader itself. A built-in tamper switch detects both casing opening and wall removal, and the RGB LED plus buzzer provide clear user feedback at every read.

Rated IP65 and IK07 with a hard-coated scratch- and impact-resistant front, the A4030-E is engineered for harsh environments and operates reliably from -40 °C to 65 °C (-40 °F to 149 °F).
