The AXIS A4131-E is a secure OSDP RFID reader with an integrated capacitive touch keypad, designed for demanding outdoor and indoor access control applications. It supports most 13.56 MHz smart card standards including MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, and MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, and features two-factor authentication via card and PIN. OSDP Secure Profile verified for strong interoperability with Axis and third-party access control systems, it can be remotely managed by Axis door controllers for configuration, feature updates, and security patches.

The reader's EAL6+ Certified Secure Element and transparent mode provide end-to-end encryption and hardware-level protection against credential cloning and tampering. IP66 and IK07 ratings make it suitable for harsh outdoor environments including dust, rain, and physical impact. A built-in tamper switch detects both open casing and removal from wall. The 3x4 capacitive touch keypad offers unlimited usage life with no mechanical wear. Compatible with AXIS TA4711 Access Cards, AXIS TA4712 Key Fobs, and the AXIS TA4201 Weathershield accessory.
