The AXIS A4610 is a compact, IP-based RFID network reader purpose-built for scalable access control deployments. Its mullion-mount form factor fits into tight installation spaces such as door frames and narrow surfaces, while integrated PoE (IEEE 802.3af) support reduces installation cost by eliminating separate power runs. As a complete door-side interface, the A4610 manages locks, door position sensors, and request-to-exit inputs from a single network-attached unit.

The reader supports 13.56 MHz ISO14443A/B credentials including MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus (level 1), and MIFARE DESFire EV1, EV2, and EV3 cards and fobs. Built-in cybersecurity features enable secure onboarding and signed firmware updates, while remote management allows administrators to push configuration changes and security patches from anywhere. As part of the Axis end-to-end access control portfolio, up to 16 A4610 readers can be paired with a single AXIS network door controller for flexible, scalable site rollouts.
