The AXIS F2180-TE is a discreet modular thermal sensor unit designed for remote temperature monitoring and thermal intrusion detection as part of the AXIS F91 Mk II modular camera ecosystem. Built around an uncooled VOx microbolometer delivering 160×120 pixels at 12 µm pixel pitch, it detects radiated heat signatures to trigger precise temperature-based alerts — even in total darkness, smoke, light fog, or challenging outdoor conditions where visible-light cameras fail. This 95° HFoV variant (03370-001) provides a wide-angle view covering broad areas such as building perimeters, storage yards, or vehicle entry lanes from a single compact sensor head.

The sensor can be placed up to 30 m away from the AXIS F91 Mk II main unit via standard cabling, keeping the externally visible footprint minimal — only the small Ø30mm sensor head is exposed. When paired with the AXIS F9114-R Mk II main unit, up to four sensor units (thermal and/or visual) can run simultaneously from a single IP address, dramatically reducing infrastructure requirements for multi-zone thermal surveillance. The athermalized fixed lens maintains stable focus across a wide temperature range, and the NETD sensitivity of less than 50 mK enables reliable detection of small temperature deviations in both indoor machinery and outdoor perimeter applications.

The F2180-TE supports temperature monitoring from -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F) with object temperature ranging up to 450°C (842°F), making it applicable for fire prevention, equipment monitoring, and industrial process control. Up to four configurable polygonal detection areas and a spot temperature meter allow granular zone-based alerting. IP66, IP67, and IP6K9K rated in combination with IP-rated cabling, it withstands rain, pressure washing, and full submersion. TAA compliant, 5-year warranty, with a spectral range of 8–14 µm covering the longwave infrared (LWIR) band.
