The AXIS M5000-G is a unique situational awareness camera that combines three 5 MP overview sensors with a built-in PTZ camera in a single housing. The three fixed sensors deliver a full 360° horizontal panoramic view, while the PTZ camera with a 4.7–47 mm varifocal lens and 10x optical zoom (120x total with digital zoom) provides detailed close-up views of any point within the scene. With everything visible on one monitor, operators can move from overview to detail in a single click, covering indoor areas up to 400 m² (4,300 ft²).

Built around the AXIS ARTPEC-7 SoC with 2 GB RAM, the camera supports H.264, H.265, and Motion JPEG compression with Axis Zipstream technology to reduce bandwidth and storage demands. Integrated Z-Wave Plus connectivity allows up to six smart-home devices to communicate with the camera for added situational context. AXIS Edge Vault, signed firmware, FIPS 140-2 Level 1 cryptographic module, and AES-XTS-Plain64 256-bit SD card encryption deliver robust cybersecurity, while two-way full-duplex audio and onboard analytics including AXIS Loitering Guard and AXIS Video Motion Detection complete the platform.
