The i-PRO Panasonic WV-S25700-V2LN is a 4K vandal-resistant outdoor dome network camera from the S-Series, built around an approximately 1/1.8 type CMOS image sensor and an onboard AI engine. The large sensor paired with 3840 x 2160 resolution captures substantially more detail than 2MP and 5MP models, allowing a single camera to cover a wide scene while still resolving faces and license plates within it.

Color night vision is rated at 0.04 lx, preserving color detail in low light where many cameras switch to black and white, and the built-in IR LED extends coverage up to approximately 230 ft in complete darkness. A 4.3-8.6mm motorized zoom lens with 2.0x optical zoom and auto focus provides a horizontal field of view from 52 degrees at telephoto to 101 degrees at wide, with a maximum aperture of F1.5. Super Dynamic wide dynamic range reaches up to 132 dB for balanced exposure in high-contrast scenes.

The camera supports AI analytics including AI video motion detection, AI privacy guard, AI face detection, AI people detection, AI vehicle detection, AI occupancy detection and AI scene change detection, plus AI sound classification for gunshot, yell, vehicle horn and glass break. Smart Coding with the AI engine cuts bit rate without sacrificing detail, which matters particularly at 4K where storage costs scale quickly. The aluminum die cast housing with a ClearSight-coated polycarbonate dome is certified to IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10, resists wind up to approximately 89 mph, and operates from -40 °F to 140 °F with an anti-condensation heater and moisture absorption gel. Security features include a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant secure element (NXP EdgeLock SE050F), a pre-installed GlobalSign device certificate, signed firmware, data encryption, HTTPS and 802.1X. The camera is NDAA compliant, supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T, streams H.265, H.264 and JPEG, records to microSDXC cards up to 512 GB, and accepts PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 VDC power. An optional WV-S25F1 fiber optic media converter unit is available for long cable runs.
