The i-PRO Panasonic WV-S4556LA is a 5MP outdoor 360-degree fisheye network camera built around an approximately 1/3 type CMOS image sensor and an onboard AI engine. A single unit covers an entire room or open area with a 186-degree horizontal and vertical field of view, replacing several fixed cameras and reducing the number of IP addresses, licenses and cable runs required for full coverage.

The camera supports up to three Edge AI analytic applications, including AI video motion detection, AI people counting for fisheye cameras, AI privacy guard for fisheye cameras and AI scene change detection, plus AI sound classification for gunshot, yell, vehicle horn and glass break. The people counting analytics extend the camera beyond security into business intelligence, supporting occupancy measurement and foot traffic analysis. Multiple viewing modes are available, including fisheye, single and quad PTZ, panorama and double panorama, with dewarping performed on the camera at up to 2192 x 2192 resolution and 30 fps across all modes.

Low-light performance is rated at 0.11 lx in color and 0 lx in black and white with the built-in IR LED, which illuminates up to approximately 45 ft. Super Dynamic wide dynamic range reaches up to 120 dB. The aluminum die cast housing with polycarbonate dome is certified to IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10, resists wind up to approximately 89 mph, and operates from -40 °F to 140 °F with a Rosahl anti-condensation element. EN50155-TX railway application support extends its use to transit environments. Security features include a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant secure element (NXP EdgeLock SE050F), a pre-installed GlobalSign device certificate, signed firmware, HTTPS and IEEE 802.1X. The camera is NDAA compliant, supports ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T, streams H.265, H.264 and JPEG, records to SDXC cards up to 512 GB, and accepts PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 VDC power.
