Light, light and light. The camera works great in low lit areas and is weatherproof. The three light factors that the camera boasts are, first the lightweight of the entire device itself. The second is its power consumption. Now the reason why power consumption is important is when you have a large area to cover with multiple devices factoring in energy cost is important as you are the one paying for it. Third is a combination of two, namely the wireless connectivity and IR filter. Having an auto on/off IR filter makes sure the quality of video capture is not disturbed and the wireless connectivity reduces the need for wiring and creates a direct connection to storage.

Very well suited for use at night. The camera comes equipped with a 4.1 megapixel camera and 2.8mm lens. The camera has an infrared LED which is supposedly effective up to a hundred feet. The camera however can fall victim to its own IR LED. The IR LED is designed to work over a large range but can bounce off close by objects and fall on the receiver causing the image to blur. But the camera does distinguish features better under IR compared to other cameras making the footage more usable.
