LTS LTD8304T-ET Platinum Advanced Level 4 Channel HD-TVI DVR - Compact Case is a Digital Video Recorder for home, retail store and small office applications. The user has to plug this network video recorder into the LAN connected through switch or router and the setup wizard will guide through the simple auto camera configuration. This DVR is compatible with various cameras. Equipped with one SATA slot for up to 6TB of storage, the DVR allows long-term recording. H.264 video compression reduces file size, maximizes recording time and saves hard drive space.
The HD-TVI (Transport Video Interface) inputs also support standard analog cameras so the Digital Video Recorder can record from standard definition up to 1080P@ 12fps or 720P@ 30fps signals on all 4 channels. The DVR supports standard coaxial allowing for long-distance transmission of HD images with zero video latency. It is designed with hardware which has 2 video outputs (HDMI and VGA) for local monitoring, alarm in/out, RS-485 serial interface, 2 USB interfaces, and 1 1:10M / 100M self-adaptive Ethernet interface. The rating depends on what you are going for. I had recently moved into a new house. The place was twenty years old and had a very outdated system installed. I was able to install on the already laid cables except one that had to be replaced. The recorder has encountered no problems so far and the video quality is as good as they say. A six terabyte hard drive seemed too much and I got a two terabyte disk instead. With four cameras running there is still ample amount of room. The HDMI output gives a very sharp and clear picture.
Works well for an apartment. I went and got the cheapest possible security system for my apartment. The LTS recorder made for nice solution and the video output lets me connect to my TV and old PC screen. The storage I got with the recorder is 2 TB and I found it to be the right amount.
If you need a DVR buy it otherwise don’t. for the price it is great but with a little more investment you can get an NVR. For a small home security system either one can work but a PoE switch consumes less cable. The storage combined with the camera support should be good for any home.
Space saving in the literal sense. The recorder is small enough to slide under the bottom of the TV cabinet. The recorder does produce a slight hum but you can only hear it in pin drop silence. The video quality is astounding and way better than what I had expected because of the price.
So cheap. I had to double check the price before adding to cart. After providing my account details I checked to see how much I was charged. The recorder works marvelously and buying it along with a hard drive didn’t cost much. With my last recorder the hard drive price was double that of the recorder.
