The two reasons to buy the recorder are the channels and the memory space. In total the recorder can support 24 TBs of storage. It means that a camera system where the motion capture is in 4K can be easily stored without worrying about space. The memory capacity is there because of the number of cameras the recorder can support. Which brings us to the channels. A total of 32 cameras can be attached to a single device. Not only that but the recorder has to capture feed from all cameras simultaneously. To go through that feed all the controls you need are on the face of the DVR.
Playback is the best part about it. recorders on the cheaper end of the scale or the ones smaller in size for increased portability need an external viewing source. Through the DVR you can go through video. This eliminates the need for having a PC near by. the DVR records and replays simultaneously. The knob designed to scroll makes the job even easier. Sifting through footage is boring no matter what but now I don’t have to pack up extra equipment after going through the recorder. Plus the amount of camera inputs available lets you use the DVR anywhere from a warehouse to a small office. I think a single DVR can cover my entire street.
