Affordable depending on the money you want to spend. The DVR is great and the video quality is what you expect. The cameras have set up capture in 4K. the recorder plays it flawlessly. The problem I faced was because of the 4K cameras I needed a large storage space. I found the hard drives at a cheaper rate but had to wait around two weeks for delivery. It was something I expected beforehand and had to plan accordingly so I didn’t blow my budget.

Lowers your need for equipment. The favorite part of this recorder for me is the face of it. You can playback video straight from the recorder. No need to attach or export the file to a computer. This works great as you can easily go over footage while the recorder keeps recording and don’t need to turn a system on. Behind a cramped counter this is great to have. More so I didn’t need to change my monitor the recorder hooks up to VGA. The network switch helped keep the cost down. All we had to do was switch out the old recorder.
