The Panasonic WV-SF342 i-PRO SmartHD Security Camera is a fixed dome network camera that is part of the i-PRO 3rd generation i-PRO SmartHD Series, with the newly developed 1.3 Megapixel high sensitive MOS Sensor. Multiple H.264 (High Profile) streams and JPEG streams ensure simultaneous real-time monitoring and high-resolution recording at a lower bandwidth by UniPhier, Panasonic's proprietary System LSI platform. While the Face Wide Dynamic Range technology provides clear face images, the face-detection function helps in detecting the position of human faces and sends the information via XML or video stream for evaluation.

The Wide dynamic range and Adaptive black Stretch technologies deliver wider dynamic range compared with a conventional camera. The Panasonic WV-SF342 i-PRO SmartHD Security Camera also features a SDHC/SD memory slot for manual, alarm or back-up upon network failure, full frame up to 30 fps transmission at 800 x 600 SVGA resolution and a focus assist feature that ensures concise focus at the time of installation.
