The Pelco SRXF3-8180-ES is a surface-mount 8MP fisheye camera from the Sarix Fisheye 3 Series, purpose-built for outdoor environments requiring broad panoramic coverage with AI-powered analytics. Featuring a 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor and a 1.74mm fixed lens, it delivers a 188° horizontal field of view in 180° mode — capturing an entire wall-to-wall scene from a single mounting point. A primary 4K-class stream (3840×2160) provides sharp detail for forensic review, while camera-side dewarping delivers natural-perspective panoramic views without server-side processing. The built-in 850nm high-power IR LEDs illuminate scenes up to 17 m (56 ft) in complete darkness.

The Sarix Fisheye 3 analytics engine is specifically optimized for fisheye-view imagery — a critical distinction from flat-sensor analytics. It detects individuals from heads and shoulders only, enabling tracking of people who pass directly beneath the camera — a common blind spot for traditional analytics. Supported behavioral scenarios include objects in area, object loitering, line crossing, crowd size monitoring, unusual crowd growth detection, and direction violation. Audio analytics add a further layer of situational awareness: the built-in microphone detects gunshots (up to 100 m with optional license), screams (15 m), glass breaks (15 m), car alarms (30 m), and loud noise events (40 m) — enabling incident detection without visual confirmation.

The SRXF3-8180-ES is rated IP66/IP67, IK10, and NEMA 4X for comprehensive outdoor weatherproofing and vandal resistance. It operates from -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F) and supports dual microSD card slots for up to 2× 2TB of local edge storage. FIPS 140-3 Level 3 with onboard TPM provides hardware-level cybersecurity, complemented by signed and encrypted firmware and 802.1x port authentication. Powered via PoE (IEEE 802.3af), PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), or 12VDC.
