The Raytec VAR2-i8-2 Infrared Illuminator is designed to enhance your CCTV and traffic surveillance camera's field of view by flooding the area that it occupies with diffused IR light. This illuminator utilizes Raytec's proprietary Hotspot Reduction Technology to maximize the evenness with which the IR light is casted, meaning that both the center of the beam and the peripherals are illuminated with the same level of intensity. The ultimate result of that the illuminator helps your cameras in capturing sharper, clearer images, boosting their footage resolution, and reducing graininess overall.

This IR illuminator also has an adjustable photocell that allows it to automatically turn on and off depending on the ambient lighting conditions.
