The sectoral antenna design with narrow 7° elevation beamwidth provides optimal coverage for up to 31 simultaneous clients with ranges up to 6 km when connecting to Wave Pro or Wave Long-Range stations, 4 km with Wave Nano, and 0.9 km with Wave Pico. Advanced modulation schemes (16QAM, QPSK) with channel bandwidths of 2160, 1080, and 540 MHz ensure reliable high-speed connectivity across multiple clients.

Designed for professional outdoor deployments, the Wave-AP-Gen2 features dual networking interfaces: 1× 2.5 GbE RJ45 port and 1× 10G SFP+ port for maximum flexibility and throughput. WiFi 6 (802.11ax) backup radio operating on 5 GHz (5150-5875 MHz worldwide) with 13 dBi dual-linear polarized antenna and 95° azimuth beamwidth ensures seamless failover. The robust enclosure combining UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy achieves IPX6 weatherproofing and operates in extreme temperatures from -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F). Wind loading capacity of 109.8 N at 200 km/h (25 lbf at 125 mph) ensures stability in harsh conditions. Powered by 48V DC 0.65A 2.5 GbE PoE adapter (included) with passive PoE support, consuming 24W maximum. Built-in GPS enables precise synchronization.
