The Ubiquiti UISP-FIBER-XGS is a compact optical network unit (ONT) from the UISP Fiber series, built to deliver symmetrical 10 Gbps service over XGS-PON fiber at distances of up to 20 km (12.4 mi). It pairs one SC/APC XGS-PON (ITU-T G.9807) WAN port with a multi-gigabit 10GbE RJ45 LAN port, allowing ISPs and network integrators to hand off full 10G bandwidth to routers, switches, or high-performance workstations at the customer premises.

Powered by a USB-C 5V DC, 3A adapter, the unit draws a maximum of just 8W and is housed in a UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure measuring 3.94 x 3.94 x 1.06 in. It runs on 256 MB DDR memory with 32 MB NOR flash storage, and three PON signal LEDs give installers an instant readout of optical signal strength during setup. The device is NDAA compliant, managed through UISP (version 1.5.7 and later), and is compatible only with the UISP Fiber XGS OLT; it cannot be used with third-party OLTs.
