The Arecont Vision AV5110 5 Megapixel Color IP Security Camera with a 1/2" CMOS image sensor delivers brilliant images in MJPEG format and maintains full motion progressive scan 2592 x 1944 video at 9 fps. The Arecont Vision AV5110 uses a ½″ CMOS Sensor, MJPEG compression, and has on-camera motion detection. With the AV5110's 5 MP resolution it boasts fifteen times the resolution of a VGA device at about the same cost. The tremendous resolution not only provides clear and detailed video images; it also allows you to monitor larger areas using fewer cameras. This is because high-resolution megapixel devices offer a much larger filed-of-view than traditional security cameras.

The AV5110 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for flexible, cost-effective installation. No need for complicated cabling schemes or conveniently located power outlets. With PoE you can connect it to your network and supply its power with a single Ethernet cable. This same cable also delivers the video transmissions.
