Description

AXIS M3007-PV 5 MP Vandal-Resistant IP Fisheye Security Camera

Exceptionally discreet in appearance, the Axis M3007-PV MP Vandal-Resistant IP Security Camera is an indoor panoramic surveillance device with superior 5MP resolution and 360°/180°views. It is housed in a vandal-proof enclosure, making it virtually impervious to physical abuse and tampering. This high surveillance device allows you to keep an eye on every customer wandering in your store. The cam supports digital pan, tilt and zoom options and multiple-viewings like panorama, double panorama and quad views. This mini dome camera features a 1/3.2″ 5 MP progressive scan RGB CMOS sensor, which delivers clear and crisp images at a resolution of up to 2592 x 1944 pixels. It supports multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams at up to 12 fps. H.264 compression helps reduce video file sizes without compromising on the quality and integrity of images. Additionally, multi-view streaming enables up to 4 individually cropped out and DE warped view areas to be streamed simultaneously.

This camera is equipped with a microSDHC card slot for local storage of images or video clips (card sold separately). You can also remotely view and manage images or videos, thanks to the complimentary AXIS Camera Companion software support. This AXIS M3007-PV 5 MP Vandal-Resistant IP Security Camera also offers motion detection that triggers an alarm whenever any movement is detected in a defined area of the display. It also features an active tampering alarm that alerts you about any damage caused to the camera.

Key Features:

  • Digital PTZ: lets you digitally zoom in on a portion of the total recorded image
  • Progressive Scan Technology: delivers crisp image detail, even for fast-moving objects
  • Edge Storage: allows recording video directly to a storage such as an SD/SDHC card, thereby creating a flexible and reliable video surveillance system
  • Multi-Streaming: where multiple video streams can be individually configured with different frame rates
  • On-Board Storage: continued recording even if network connection is lost
  • Active Tampering Alarm Function: triggers an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned and when the lens is covered, sprayed, or defocused
  • On-Board Storage: continued recording even if network connection is lost

Wide range of motion capture. The camera can be panned a full 360 degrees. This saves up on equipment and expense. One camera can do the job of two and for me that is the case. The other thing thati found to be cool about the camera is the adjustable frame rate. At a full 360 degree capture the frame rate is 12fps. This might seem slow and the video does feel a bit like a flip book. But the image quality makes up for it. The video is so clear that you can see even the smallest of movements or any items that are out of place.

The water resist works. The camera I have is installed next to a water sprinkler. One fine day thanks to a small paper pile catching fire the sprinkler systems went off. After evacuating and turning the sprinkler system off we strated to check on all the electronics in the office. The cameras were the last thing we checked and they took a nice five minute shower. They were working perfectly but the camera lens cover needed some drying. The hanging water droplets did make for a trippy footage though.
