The AXIS M3098-LV is a compact, discreet 8MP mini dome camera from the AXIS M30 Series, designed for versatile indoor surveillance in offices, retail spaces, corridors, and lobbies. Featuring a large 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor with a 2.0 µm pixel size, it delivers sharp 4K imagery at up to 12 fps in full 8MP mode, or up to 30 fps in 4MP mode. The fixed 3.76mm lens provides a wide 124° horizontal field of view, making it ideal for broad area coverage from a single mounting point. Built-in OptimizedIR illumination extends night vision up to 49 ft (15 m), ensuring clear footage in complete darkness.

AI-powered analytics are built in at no extra cost. AXIS Object Analytics detects and classifies humans, vehicles, and vehicle types (cars, buses, trucks, bikes) across up to 10 simultaneous scenarios including line crossing, tailgating detection, and PPE monitoring. AXIS Audio Analytics adds an acoustic layer — using an onboard acoustic sensor and adaptive AI, it detects screams, shouts, glass breaks, and coughing fits, generating alerts even when no visual change is visible. Together these tools significantly reduce false alarms and enable proactive security response.

Cybersecurity is embedded at the hardware level through Axis Edge Vault, providing a FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure element (CC EAL6+) for cryptographic key storage, signed video for tamper evidence, secure boot, and encrypted filesystem.
