The AXIS M3098-V is a compact, AI-powered 8MP mini dome camera from the AXIS M30 Series, purpose-built for discreet indoor surveillance on walls and ceilings in offices, retail spaces, hotel lobbies, and educational facilities. Sharing the same 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor and 3.76mm fixed lens as the M3098-LV, it delivers sharp 4K imagery at up to 12 fps in full 8MP mode (or 30 fps in 4MP mode) across a wide 124° horizontal field of view — ideal for broad area coverage from a single mounting point. Forensic WDR at up to 120 dB and Lightfinder technology provide clear, artifact-free imaging in both harsh backlit scenes and near-darkness conditions where typical indoor cameras struggle.

The M3098-V ships with AXIS Object Analytics and AXIS Audio Analytics preinstalled at no additional licensing cost. Powered by the onboard CV75 SoC with a dedicated deep learning processing unit (DLPU), AXIS Object Analytics detects and classifies humans, vehicles, and vehicle subtypes across up to 10 simultaneous behavioral scenarios — including line crossing, tailgating detection, crossline counting, and PPE monitoring. The built-in acoustic sensor adds a second detection layer via AXIS Audio Analytics, which classifies audio events such as screams, shouts, glass breaks, and coughing fits using adaptive AI, generating alerts even with no visual trigger. AXIS Scene Metadata captures forensic attributes including vehicle color and clothing color for post-incident search.

Axis Edge Vault delivers hardware-rooted cybersecurity through a FIPS 140-3 Level 3 / CC EAL6+ certified secure element, providing signed video for tamper evidence, secure boot, and AES-XTS-256-bit encrypted filesystem.
