The AXIS M4348-PLR is a 12MP panoramic camera from the AXIS M43 Series, built for onboard surveillance in buses, trains and other vehicles. Its 1/1.6" progressive scan RGB CMOS sensor and 1.7mm fixed lens deliver a 185° field of view for complete 180° or 360° coverage with no blind spots. Sharpdome 360 technology keeps images sharp toward the edges, and the camera can deliver dewarped views directly from the camera.

The ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip with a deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Scene Metadata, which classifies humans, faces, vehicles and license plates. Forensic WDR up to 120 dB, Lightfinder and OptimizedIR with 850nm LEDs reaching 65 ft or more provide detailed images in all light conditions. Four built-in microphones add audio capture. This variant uses a rugged D-coded M12 connector and complies with EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 railway standards.

The aluminum casing with a hard-coated polycarbonate dome is IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X rated and operates from -40°F to 131°F. The camera is powered by PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4, max 16.7 W) and supports H.264, H.265, AV1 and Motion JPEG with Axis Zipstream. Axis Edge Vault, signed video and secure boot protect the device. The camera is TAA compliant, supports microSD edge storage, and comes with a 5-year Axis warranty.
