The AXIS P3285-LVE Kit 10 mm is an all-in-one license plate recognition kit from the AXIS P32 Series, pairing a discreet 2MP outdoor dome camera with AXIS License Plate Verifier preinstalled and licensed. Purpose-tuned for close-up capture in slow-speed traffic, it reads plates on vehicles moving up to 19 mph in a single lane and, under optimal conditions, recognizes vehicle type, color, make, and model, making it well suited to gates, parking entrances, and vehicle access control.

A 1/2.8" progressive scan RGB CMOS sensor and a 3.4-9.8mm varifocal lens (F1.4-2.7) provide a 100° to 32° horizontal field of view and a plate detection range of 7 to 23 ft, with the camera mounted up to 7 ft high and up to 7 ft from the road. OptimizedIR with 850nm LEDs reaches 66 ft or more depending on the scene, while Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR up to 120dB, and 2D/3D noise reduction keep plates legible around the clock at up to 60 fps.

Recognition runs on the ARTPEC-9 chip with a deep learning processing unit, so allow, block, and custom lists of up to 30,000 plates are managed directly on the camera, and up to 1,000 events are logged onboard or 100,000 on an AXIS Surveillance Card. The vandal-resistant IP66/IP67, IK10, and NEMA 4X-rated dome operates from -40°F to 122°F, runs on PoE, and is TAA compliant with a 5-year warranty.
