AXIS P3408-VE 8MP Outdoor Dome IP Security Camera with 4.4-14.6mm Lens - 03296-001

AXIS P3408-VE 8MP Outdoor Dome IP Security Camera with 4.4-14.6mm Lens - 03296-001

The AXIS P3408-VE is an outdoor-ready 8MP dome camera that delivers 4K (3840x2160) video at up to 30 fps through a 1/1.8-inch progressive scan RGB CMOS sensor. Its 4.4–14.6 mm varifocal lens with P-Iris control covers a 104° to 29° horizontal field of view, and remote zoom and focus combined with pan-tilt-roll (PTRZ) adjustment make it possible to set up or refine the view over the network without a technician on a ladder. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR up to 120 dB help maintain color and detail in low light and high-contrast scenes, with minimum illumination down to 0.11 lux in color.

Built on the ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip with a deep learning processing unit, the camera runs AI-powered analytics at the edge. AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Audio Analytics, AXIS Image Health Analytics, AXIS Scene Metadata and AXIS Video Motion Detection come preinstalled, classifying humans and vehicles and detecting sounds such as screams, shouts and glass breaking. Video is compressed in H.264, H.265, AV1 and Motion JPEG with Axis Zipstream to reduce bandwidth and storage, and a microSD slot supports onboard recording.

Designed for demanding outdoor sites, the P3408-VE features an IP66-, IK10- and NEMA 4X-rated casing and operates from -40°F to 122°F. It is powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3at) and includes a PoE output port to power an additional device. Axis Edge Vault with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage, signed OS and secure boot protect the device, and it is TAA compliant with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
